The
proposed location of the power plant is a brownfield site
some 2km outside Attleborough.
The
power plant will be capable of handling up to 1,200 tonnes
of material per week, most of which will be conveyed via
underground pipeline from the processing plant. As a result,
waste lorry movements will be reduced by around 95%.
Electricity
output from the plant will be 5.5 megawatts at full capacity,
enough to power more than 7,000 homes.
